      Who Can Take This Course:

This course is recommended for: nurses, doctors, medical
assistants, physical therapists, nutritionists, coaches, exercise
      trainers and wellness industry professionals.

Are you a health practitioner? Understanding bones
is important for those of us in the health field, and this course is
designed to give you an overview of osteoporosis, as well as nuanced
information on bone health. Each case is unique: one person may have
osteoporosis due to an eating disorder, another might have an underlying
thyroid or parathyroid issue. For people who menstruate it may be due
to estrogen loss at menopause. And still, for others osteoporosis can be
a linked to a digestive issue, physical activity, kidney problems, or
genetics. This course includes material on common causes, warning signs,
testing, and how to interpret bone density scans, images.

Are you interested in bones, but not a health practitioner?
This course is still for you. My goal is educate as many people as I
can about bone health and I work hard to make my courses accessible, and
informative. Please note, this is not an introductory course.
We will be covering advanced material and the course will be geared
towards health practitioners who need to understand osteoporosis to
serve their patients. However, I always incorporate stories, examples,
and resources for you to bridge knowledge gaps. You will learn about
your skeleton, bone health, and how to advocate when facing an
      osteoporosis case.

      Certificate of Completion

This course does not provide continuing education credits. However,
for those interested you are eligible to take a test provided by Dr.
Lani for a Certificate of Completion.

Are you interested in offering an educational/consulting program for
your patients? Dr. Simpson will offer a one hour webinar on intake forms
for those that are interested at no extra cost.
